CTI project in collaboration with a Swiss industrial partner
Project Description
For a medical application where large forces have to be generated inside a small volume with reduced power consumption, using an escapement mechanism is an interesting option. Indeed, the mechanical energy is accumulated in a spring. The release of this energy is then regulated by a linear escapement, which allows high displacement resolution with minimal electric power consumption.
