Intelligent footwear for patients with foot insensitivity

Project description

The aim of this project is to develop a smart insole able to redistribute the pressures under the foot and prevent the formation of regions with localized high stresses. Variable stiffness regions are obtained discretizing the foot regions of interest inserting miniature controllable magneto-rheological (MR) shock dampers.
