Contactless energy transfer table for desktop applications

Project description

A system of contactless inductive power transfer is designed to supply different computer peripherals. The concept consists in integrating primary coils into a table and secondary ones into peripherals to be supplied. The system is able to detect each peripheral position, and to locally activate the corresponding primaries. An optimization of the final system is in progress, based on genetic algorithms. High frequency effects, namely the skin and proximity effects, play a crucial role during the design.
